Hello, dear readers of the Art Playground Blog! Daria here with you today :)
I want to show you my new canvas "We are all dreamers!" that I have made for July Challenge.
At first I wanted to create something tender, but when I've looked at the July color scheme I understood that I must get my boxes of inks! :)
In this work I decided to use transparent plastic, that I cut into circles of different diametres. I applied transparent texture paste on it through the floral stencil and than sprinkled on the top the transparent dry glitter Clear Rock from Ranger.
After that I applied alcohol inks on it - purple, blue, yellow, orange, pink and I let them flow out and let the inks dry.
Than I used this circles to build the composition.
The fantasy picture with the girl that affectionately hugging a tiger is in the focus.
I've built built the composition while supporting the scene.
The ornate chipboard seems to extend the girl's hair. I specifically wanted to achieve this effect!)
The base of the canvas - thick cardboard, that I've wrapped with a cloth. Than I covered the background with the white gesso and applied the texture paste on it through the floral stencil. After that I covered the background by Purely White EP from Lindy's Stamp Gang before painting Magicals to achieve Resist-effect.To make this colorful background I used Magical pigments from Lindy's- Yellow rose of Texas, Hydrangea Blue and Sweet Violet Purple teal Magicals and Octoberfest Orange Shaker. I did the same thing with my clay molds .
When the composition was glued I applied different toppings - glitter, violet mica and transparent glass balls of different diameters.
For the finish touch I splattered the project with black and white inks.
Hope you like it!
